The 2016-2017 Intramural Season will begin in September and run until the end of May.
Intramurals is an in-school recreational sports league that allows students to participate in a variety of athletic pursuits throughout the school year. The focus of intramurals is on fun, friendship and fair play–reinforcing the values John Oliver upholds in its J-Code: Justice, Ownership, Knowledge, Effort, Respect and Success. Some leagues have students sign up as individuals and others allow teams to register their own team. Intramural games occur during lunch hour with some games before school to accommodate schedules and league demands.
This year’s Intramural program will be coordinated by Mr. Aprim (Department Head) and the PE Department. Service Hour opportunities are available for senior students to get involved–please see your PE teacher for more details
- OPEN GYMS: When there are no formal intramurals, an open gym schedule (lunch only if supervised by a JOPE teacher) will be published throughout the year.
- Students will require a Go-Card to sign-out equipment. Students are expected to have appropriate athletic footwear and attire to participate in JOPE Intramurals
Good Luck To All Teams. Play Hard, Play Fair & Have Fun.
